Are goons mercilessly thrashing students in Universities?

“Goons enter University, damage property, and injure students.”

This is the general narrative of our media, post merciless thrashing of innocent students in and around the Hostel, Library, and other University premises in different parts of the country.

However, we, as an awakened citizen should first ponder upon that why, all of a sudden, the innocent students are being punished with such brutal thrashing, for no apparent “grave fault of that scale”, on their part. Is it just a spontaneous outrage against the students peacefully protesting or is it a pre-planned agenda to break the morale of all those who are not a blind-follower and still have their spine intact?

Also, we need to question back that are these actually goons or is it a bunch of insensible inhuman beings, who are brainwashed and hired for the job to demoralize the young blood? If not, then what was the student’s fault? Why else would they be thrashed so brutally on non-violent protest against the government? Could the police force, without an order from their bosses, be so insensitive in dealing with kids?

Do the innocent students have to face all this just because they choose to stand for the real issues like steep fees hike, communal divisionary Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC)? Does, in a democratic nation, anyone has the right to manhandle, thrash, and even kill people? From where does this bunch of people holding hockey sticks, and iron rods appear all of a sudden and start hitting everyone and everything that comes in their radar and still walks away freely?

Who gave the mob a license to punish everyone whom they believe to be a member of the so-called Tukde-Tukde gang? What does the Home Minister, Mr. Amit Shah, means when he says that “It’s time to punish the Tukde-Tukde gang?” Before that would Mr. Shah throw some light that who all, according to him, is part of this Tukde-Tukde gang? Is everyone having a view contradictory to the government is a part of the Tukde-Tukde gang, Mr. Home Minister?

Mr. Shah should also enlighten us that if it’s not a political agenda then how come the same Delhi police which very conveniently enters the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) campus, without any permission, to mercilessly beat the innocent students non-violently protesting against the government, waits for the permission to enter the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), in spite of, being very well aware that the innocent students were being brutally beaten up by the so-called goons inside the University campus.

What an irony that when such bloodshed is happening in the temples of knowledge in various parts of the country, the President of India and the Supreme Court of India also seems to be just acting as a mute spectator as well. Why and how a peace-loving nation gradually turned into a violence-cherishing country is something that every patriotic citizen should be asking themselves? How can the motherland of Gandhi, the protagonist of non-violence, even support and celebrate any kind of violence, be it from the police or be it in the form of mob lynching?

At last, I would just like to make everyone cautious that this arrogant government, which always runs away from answering the serious questions, will leave no stone unturned to break all those who object any thought or action of the government. However, we, the peace-loving citizens, should stand united and see to it that the government’s communal agenda to divide our country and distract our attention from the core issues never gets fulfilled.

I wish that may the Almighty give good sense to each one of us.

Stay in touch.

God Bless!
