Are you hunting for some motivation?

By any chance are you hunting for some motivation in the outside world? Thinking to get inspired from success stories of other persons? Wandering in search of that very stimulus which will ignite your life? Waiting for someone/something to pull you up from your current downtrodden situation? Seeking for some positive spark in your life? Hoping that one fine day you will get shaken up by the inspirational boosters and eventually your goals will be achieved? If the answer to any of these questions is in affirmative, then, fortunately, you have landed at the right place. In this blog let us try to locate the source of ‘real and everlasting’ motivation.

At the outset, I would like to comfort you by sharing the fact that if you are a motivation seeker then nothing to worry about because you are not sailing all alone in the boat. Indeed we all are hopping in the hunt for motivation, sometimes or the other. And, in fact, we always look outside for that dose of motivation. But did you ever think that is this exercise fruitful or not? Do we really get inspired by the outside world? And most importantly does this outside motivation have an everlasting impact on us or not?

We read inspiring stories, hear motivational audio, view the life changing videos, all in all, we go through every kind of motivational material that is accessible to us. The sole aim behind all this is to get inspired and thereby change our life into yet another success story. However, don’t you think that all this ultimately turns out to be a momentary motivation only? The impact of which lasts only for a few minutes, hours or maybe for a few days, and in reality, it actually fails to motivate us in the long run.

Herewith, let me make it very clear that I am not against any kind of motivational stuff; in fact, they are a great source of learning. However, my whole point is that all these motivational posts, quotes, stories, audio-video, etcetera, are good enough to boost our morale in that very moment or maybe for some more time, but they are not sufficient enough to leave an everlasting impact on our life. Hence, it’s a high time for us to diagnose the impact of outside motivation on our life. And if we find out that we are not getting much of the needed help from these momentary motivations, then we need to question ourselves that what is the alternative available for us to get motivated in the real sense?

Well, the answer to this life changing question is that we need to “Look within for inspiration”. It’s our own life story and it’s comparable to no one else’s life. Everyone has different struggles and a different way of tackling and overcoming them. We need to write our own success story and for that, we have to look within our own self for finding inspiration. There is no argument in the fact that we can take learning’s from other’s life and even get motivated from them. But the hard-core reality is that all these momentary motivations will eventually wipe-off, as soon as, the memory of that motivational thing is overpowered with other important or not-so-important things going on in our life. Hence, it’s only the motivation that emerges from within us, which is going to have an everlasting impact in our life and it is indeed the real motivation.

You may be down, you might have lost all the hopes, you are no more interested in your life, but do remember, that you are the same person who once used to crawl and then “on your own” learned to walk, as well as, run miles and miles. When on your own you can learn how to walk, even at the age when you have no life experiences, then what else could stop you from walking or running in the journey of your life?

Now every time you get disheartened, do remember that you need to get back to your inner-self and remind yourself about all those past incidences of your life in which you stood firmly against all the odds and finally came out as a winner to achieve your goals. And yes, there is no one on earth who has not achieved anything in their life. The achievements could be as small as learning to ride a vehicle, passing an exam, winning or even participating in a game and the list goes on and on. So the excuse that “I don’t have any achievements in my life” is a sheer crap. Hence, there is no point in hiding behind this excuse. So yes, “If you are hunting for some motivation, then do look within for inspiration”. Only then you will get motivated in a ‘real and an everlasting’ sense.

I do hope that now onwards you will find inspiration from within your own self and there will be a lot many success stories to share and learn from. I wish you all a very happy, motivated and a prosperous life.

Be in touch.

God Bless!

Does your past haunt you every now and then?

Does it happen with you, that your own ‘Past’, time and again, starts banging harshly on your door, in spite of the fact that you have hanged a nameplate showcasing in bold letters the word ‘PEACE’? If your answer to the above question is in affirmative, then no wonder the title of this blog caught your attention and you made a painful attempt to bear with this blog. Nevertheless, if your Past drops in as an uninvited guest, then no need to worry about, because in that case, you are sailing in the same boat in which we all are your co-passengers. Yes, it does happen with each one of us. Our past, all of a sudden, appears in front of us, like a gangster demanding the ‘well-deserved ransom’, on account of permitting us to inhale our next intake of oxygen. Note: Only the negative past is referred to as ‘Gangster’ in this blog. The positive past is indeed an ‘Angel’.

So are you scared of your past? Do you feel depressed because of the past thoughts overpowering your mind? Do you feel helpless at all such times? Do you think of running away from this gangster, in a way, never to be located again? Does this thought ever come to your mind that is there any way out to deal with this gangster? Isn’t there any solution by which we can overcome and ‘Let Go’ our past? As I said that we all are co-passengers, so let us sail together in this journey of the blog and try to find out the answers to all such questions that are stalking our mind since ages.

I tell you this gangster named as ‘Past’ is a shameless fellow; the more one tries to drag it away, the more it will come closer and closer. As a gangster enjoys seeing the people around it as its slave, in the same way, our Past Aka Gangster enjoys ruling over our thoughts. It surely rejoices at our helplessness and pity on our sorrowful condition. Sometimes, I think whether the intention of this gangster behind following us everywhere is to click endless selfies with us or what. Gosh, how can one be so selfies oops selfish with anyone?

I think till now, I am able to successfully portray the picture of ‘Negative Past’ as a ‘Cruel Gangster’ in your mind. Now, the very reason behind addressing this negative past as a ‘Gangster’ is to find out the answers to the countless questions that strike our mind, as and when we encounter our past. Yes, the solution to overcome and let go our negative past lies in the word Gangster. If, while tackling our negative past, we apply the modus operandi of dealing with a real gangster, then it will surely help us in overcoming our past too.

The best way to deal with this gangster is defined in a sequential manner below –

  1. Firstly, stop getting scared from the gangster. As soon as, we gain the confidence in us that we can face this gangster named The Past, we will be able to challenge it with utmost strength. This is the first step towards our ultimate aim of eliminating any sort of negativity from our life.
  1. Once we have the confidence to deal with it, the next step is to make our mind ready for accepting our mistakes and embracing the findings from analysing our past. We have to prepare ourselves that we are going to take things in the right sense and conclude the incidences from our past to a logical end, once for all.
  1. Now, it’s the time for some real action i.e. the right time to face the gangster, on a one to one basis. In this step, we need to sort out every minute thing and the only prerequisite for achieving this is a peaceful mind. We need to question ourselves for the failed relationships, failed attempts, why others are behaving with us in that manner, what is stopping us from getting over our past, all in all, find answers to every such past thing which is a cause of mental disturbance in our present life. We need to question our past with the sole aim of finding the answers to questions like what went wrong, what were our mistakes, what are the learning’s, etcetera.
  1. Mind it, the above step number 3 is not meant to start sobbing upon our past, rather, it is meant to get over our past thoughts which are haunting us, every now and then. In the above step, we need to find the answers to all our queries that are affecting our present, on account of the happenings in our past. We need to search for ‘Our Answers’ to our past events that appear, time and again, in front of us. Do remember that these are our answers, and as such, they should not be influenced by anyone else’s thoughts, actions, etcetera.
  1. We need to continue step number 3 and carry on our wrestle with this gangster until the time we are satisfied with our own answers. Till we find satisfactory answers, against the turmoil of thoughts unsettling our mind, this exercise will not end. Once we are satisfied with our answers, “after an unbiased analysis of our past”, we would be able to accept our past and get over our negative thoughts.

Trust me if you deal with this gangster in the above-mentioned way, it would never haunt you again in your life. Do remember, that like a real gangster, our past also doesn’t like anyone standing against it. If we rise against our past, then, slowly and gradually, the past will start disliking us and would one fine day dump us to live on our own. As the time passes, it will vanish from our memories and leave behind only the learning’s for us to embrace. Thus, we will be able to get over with our past events and the only thoughts which will remain in our mind will be the thoughts pertaining to the moments to cherish and the moments to learn from.

I hope you agree with me that there is nothing wrong in at least giving it a try. Let’s see, if we are able to be a good host the very next time our past knocks on our door. Now it’s solely your choice whether or not you want to give it a try because till the time one gets even with their past and settle scores, it is going to haunt them, time and again, and they will end up staying in their past forever.

I wish you all that you are able to get over the past negative thoughts that are ruining your beautiful present. God Bless you all!

Death – The sole destination of every living being

Birth and Death, are the respective start and end point of every living being, irrespective of the species, caste, creed, colour, religion etcetera. From the day, living beings come into existence, the countdown for their end starts. As soon as we are born, we start the journey towards our sole destination i.e. Death. The only thing that is certain to happen with each one of us is Death. None of the living beings has a body that is immortal. No one of us is going to stay alive forever, not me, not you and not any of our loved ones.

Then, why is it that we can never accept this truth named Death and take it as a normal incident? The spontaneous answer to this question is that we are an emotional being and it is our attachment towards others that makes us feel sad for their loss. Now, if that so, then isn’t there any way to overcome this stage of an outburst of sorrow in our life? Obviously, we all feel sad on the demise of our loved ones. We may have a lot of things left inside us that we always wanted to share with them, but alas they are no more around us to lend their ears to our talks. Nevertheless, we have to be strong enough to bear and overcome such incidences. Let’s see, if, in this blog, we can figure out some way or the other, to get over that uninvited sad period in our life.

To be very frank, writing about death somewhere makes me feel low. It gives me the thoughts which I never ever want to come true in reality. As per me, to think about death is the most negative thing in this world. But still, I can’t change the reality that death is the sole destination of every living being. We all are helpless and when our respective time will arrive to embrace the death, no power will be able to stop our soul from leaving the body and moving towards another journey.

We mourn on the departure of the soul, even though we know that the soul is immortal and it’s only the body of the person that dies and leave this world. Most of us can’t stay unaffected by the death of someone who was close to us. We may cry, we may feel their absence, we may curse them, we may miss them, but the reality is that they will not be around us anymore and our feelings no more matters to them. They will not come back to wipe our tears or lend their shoulders to us.

As soon as the body is dead it is unaffected by any worldly things that are going around it. There is no sign of stress, trouble, concern, etcetera on the face of a dead body, whatsoever, may be the state when the person was alive. No more diseases, no more pains, no more tensions, no more fun, no more happiness, no more pleasure. The dead body may have left behind many unachieved dreams, untold secrets, wishes etcetera, but the very time their soul left the body, all these things also get buried inside them. It raises above all the feelings. The body reaches its ultimate peaceful state when it is dead.

Although, we all know this truth that one day each one of us is going to die, but still we fear our death, as well as, we are scared of the death of our closed and loved ones. The very thought that one day someone will not be there with us, completely shatter us from inside. We can’t imagine our life in absence of our near and dear ones. But in reality, our life goes on, even after the departure of the soul who was once our lifeline and heartbeat. Life is all about moving forward.

Now, is there a way we can accept the death with ease? Is there a way we can let go the thoughts of someone who was extremely close to us? Is there a way we can attain peace of mind at the time when the mountain of sorrow fell upon us? One thing, as per me, that could lift us from this blow of death is connecting with the Supreme Soul, the Almighty. I know it is easier said than done. However, this path can help us in getting over the sadness and vacuum that has been created by the death. Connecting with the Supreme Soul through meditation is the way out, that can bring solace and that can settle the turmoil of emotions flowing inside us at such painful times.

Also, until the time we are alive let’s not die inside us and waste our life. Let’s live life to the fullest, live each day as if it is the last day of our life, let’s share all the feelings with our loved ones, Kyunki Kya pata kal ho na ho (Because who knows, if there will be a tomorrow or not).

Do take a very good care of yourself, as well as, everyone around you. Live healthy and long.

God Bless you all!

Is it worth to analyze our past?

First of all, let me wish you all a very Happy and a Prosperous New Year. It’s a yearly custom that we welcome the New Year and leaves past the old year, in our memories to be remembered, “at our ease”. Well, everything that goes away leaves behind memories to remember and cherish. I deliberately choose to mention ‘cherish’ because we don’t gain anything by sobbing over things that had already faded up. Ek he zindai hai, usey hans ke guzar lo, agar rona he hai, toh khushi ke ansun baha lo” (“There is only one life, live it happily my boy; if at all you need to cry, then let those tears be the tears of joy”).

I want to take this opportunity to pierce one of my thoughts in your pre-occupied mind, so kindly let me penetrate inside the web of your intelligent thoughts. I hope this write-up will benefit you, in some way or the other. So be ready to experience a voyage of enlightenment. There is absolutely nothing to lose, so no harm in travelling and gaining the experience of this ‘free’ tour. Make sure that before starting the trip, you leave aside all the preconceived notions and just let yourself flow with the wind.

Every year, at this time, we all think that how fast the last year had passed away (Jaisey kal he baat thi). But, tell me seriously how many of us, sit peacefully and analyze how our last year departed? What are the takeaway and things to learn from our past? How can we get better in our future? Very few of us do that analysis, right? Why can’t we be one of those few, who dig their past for a better future and thereby contribute towards a better world altogether? Although, it is said that “Leave the past and live in present” but “Being Human” we got to learn from our past. Don’t you agree with me?

So, if you agree and are ready for the expedition, then you got to turn the pages of your autobiography and look around what impacted you during the past 365/366 days. You got to analyze each and every little incidence that left an indelible mark in your life or maybe because of you in someone else’s life too. This sounds good, isn’t it? However, the questions that pop up in our mind are whether this is at all feasible? If yes, then by what means we can travel into our past?

The answer to these questions is quite simple. Till the time, anyone invents the ‘Time Machine’ our ‘Mind’ is the only machine which can possibly take us anywhere. Hence, we got to utilize this ‘free of charge’ machine to travel distances, time, places etc. The only prerequisite to using this machine is ‘Peace’. A peaceful mind is the greatest weapon that anyone can possess. We can reach miles with a peaceful mind. So, we know the mechanism to start our remarkable journey from present to the past. Now, the fuel for this journey is the thought that “We are on this trip only to analyze our life”. We got to fill the machine with this fuel and start the engine. This thought will remind us, time and again, the reason for our trip and will stop us from getting distracted by the bad or sad things, which we will surely come across when we travel the length and breadth of our past life.

Hence, here we are with a peaceful mind, travelling into the world which we had already passed, way back. We got to concentrate now (keeping the above thought in our mind) and start identifying the incidences, one by one. The incidences may vary from having a bed tea on a lazy Sunday morning, our country winning a sport competition, an interesting date with an interesting person, the achievement/failures in our endeavor, a fight with a loved one, a loss of someone special in our life; it could also be any recent controversy in the political/social front or even the thought that which blog of mine was better etcetera. Now, from all these incidences we got to select those which impacted our life in a real sense.

Once we have identified the incidences which impacted us the most, we reach the final stage of our trip. In this stage, we got to analyze the incidences, with the objective to find out the root cause and the solutions thereof. This exercise will not only open up our perspective to deal with adverse situations but also help us in tackling with such incidences if we once again encounter them in the future. Once we are done with analyzing our entire past year (or the time we set for introspection), we can end our journey and jot down the summary of our experience, as well as, take away from this journey.

After this fruitful exercise, I am sure you will be more relaxed and in more peace. I hope you will enjoy the path, as well as, the destination. This is worth trying, indeed a lifetime experience. Well those of you who still think that I have gone mad, I accept that compliment with a smile.

Let us all embrace the prosperous and warm dawn of a New Year with a big smile. The life is beautiful so enjoy it to the fullest, “Kya pata kal ho na ho”. I wish that this New Year brings with it the utmost happiness, peace, and prosperity in everyone’s life.

God Bless! Be in touch.
