Identify your “Real Talent” and pursue it – Period

What’s your real talent? By “real talent”, I mean the one thing which you are passionate about, the one thing which gives meaning to your very existence and the one thing which you enjoy doing, irrespective of any kind of monetary or other benefits attached to it. If you think that you can do justice to this one thing “with your whole heart”, then that is where your real talent lies.

So now tell me what your real talent is. Hello, no need to look around. Yes, I am asking you and only you. Speak up, I am waiting. Oh yes, you guessed it right, I am stubborn and not going to leave you, till I get an answer from you. Do you think you can escape from me? Just to enlighten you – I am a ghost. I will haunt you wherever you go (Ahem! Yes, everywhere). I am sure, now you realize it that you are left with no other option but to speak your mind out. Alas! You have landed at a wrong place and without fail you will have to reveal about your talent. So just start, I am all eyes and ears…

Wait, what did you just murmur? Are you confused about your talent? Oh come on; now don’t be sad, there is nothing to worry about. We will work as a team and try to figure out what you are best at. Sounds good, right? So are you ready for the challenge? If yes, then let us start a new journey towards an unexplored destination. Gear up, wear your thinking cap on, tighten your seat belt and with a peaceful mind, step on the accelerator. This is definitely going to be a life changing expedition.

At the start, let me make it very clear that most of us are not fortunate enough to know our talent “just like that”. The majority of the normal human beings have to dig deep inside their own self to find out their real talent. And mind it, that’s not an easy task. It needs a high degree of patience and self-awareness. So make sure that you take this task with utmost seriousness and dedication, in order to achieve your goal i.e. identifying your real talent or the very purpose of your life.

Being aware, “in and out” about yourself, places you in the best position to locate your hidden talent. On the contrary, other’s can simply guide you or help you to identify your potentials. But ultimately it’s you and only you who have to identify your real talent and work towards it because no one else knows you better, then you do. Similarly, this blog will serve as a helping hand in understanding the process of how to identify your talent, which you can further pursue and hone it. But like anything else, this will also help only when you seriously work towards it.

Do remember that it’s your life and you have to take charge of all the decisions that affects you. If you hesitate to do it right now, you are surely going to regret it later on. And trust me in the later phase of your life regretting won’t help much. So it’s my earnest request to each one of you that before it’s too late, “Identify your real talent and pursue it – Period”.

Now as soon as you start thinking in this direction, the first and obvious question that hits your mind is that how to identify that very activity which you are best at or in other words the real talent of yours? This question could very well be answered by applying the technique of identifying your real talent. This technique is divided into three simple steps –

  1. In the first step, you need to engage your mind in figuring out the various activities which you seriously think you are good at. You should jot down each and every single activity which you could think of. Even if you think that something is too weird, you should still not hesitate in writing it down. It is interesting to note here that once your mind starts working on it, there is a very high probability of you getting the below-mentioned thoughts –

a) You have no idea about any of your talents.

b) You think that you are not talented in any of the fields.

c) You are aware of your talent.

If you got any of the above three thoughts, then it’s a good sign because you have started thinking in the right direction. Now, it’s just a matter of channelizing your thoughts towards a fruitful objective. Do note that this first step was simply meant to shuffle your brain cells. And as soon as your brain cells get activated and you start getting these thoughts, you are ready to move into the second step of this technique.

  1. In the second step, you need to analyse your thought that occurred in the first step and then find the answer to it. In order to do that you should know the right approach in the respective three circumstances. The different approaches are –

a) No idea about any of your talents – You don’t know what’s your talent is? Well, trust me there is absolutely no problem in that because most of us start with this thought only. The only remedy available is to keep digging more and more inside your own self, till you are successful in identifying it. There is no other way out. As clearly mentioned in the above paragraphs that it’s only you who could identify your real talents, so go for it. What you are waiting for? Start doing it right now. List down all the things that you think you are talented in. And mind it talent has no barriers. One person could be talented in more than one thing. So don’t restrict yourself to any kind of boundaries. Just write down every possible thing that you think you are good at. Herewith, do note that there is a high possibility that what you think is a talent of yours, may just turn out to be one of your hobbies or likings. So you have to make sure that the talent that you identify duly fits in the definition of the “real talent” as mentioned at the start of this blog. And mind it, till the time you are successful in locating your “Real Talent”, you don’t have an option to stop. Keep going, no matter however long it may take you to identify that. And only when you are able to identify your real talent, you are ready to move on the third and final stage of this technique.

b) Not talented in any of the fields – Do you think that you are not talented in any of the fields? Trust me this thought is nothing but sheer crap. Do note that each one of us is talented in something or the other and it’s just a matter of time when we actually realize our talent. Hence, this thought is merely a negative force to pull you down from achieving your ultimate goal in life. It’s like the same situation which you encountered in the past, wherein you were working towards achieving something in your life and a negative thought that “You can’t achieve it” keeps hitting your mind, every now and then. The fact is that in all such situations you have to overcome this thought with self-confidence by countering it with a positive thought that “You are going to achieve it no matter what comes across”. Now the same approach is required to be applied for getting over the negative thought that “You are not talented in any of the fields”. You got to simply bypass this thought by reminding yourself, time and again, that “Everyone is talented and so are you”. When you have settled your mind with this positive thought, you will have to once again start thinking about your real talent as per the process mentioned in point number a) above.

c) Aware of your talent – Hurray! It’s great news that you are aware of your talent. Congratulations for this life changing realization. You might be fortunate enough to know your talent on the first go, without much effort. Or it may so happen that at the start of this process you have no idea about your talent or you might be thinking that you are not talented in any of the fields, but without fail the final outcome of the second step has to be the awareness of one’s talent. Do note that till you are aware of your real talent you can’t proceed towards the third and the final stage of this process. Once you are able to identify your talent, it’s the right time for you to move forward with confidence, towards the third and last step of this technique.

  1. The last and final step is actually not about identifying your real talent because you have already done that in the first two steps of this technique. Hence, the third step is all about pursuing your real talent. This step is an extremely important part of this technique because it will be an insult to your talent if you do nothing about it, even after identifying it. Do keep it in mind that only identifying your talent doesn’t matter, rather pursuing it is very important. And till you pursue your real talent and work towards honing your talent it will be of no use. At the same time, just because you are talented in something doesn’t mean you are best in it. You will not do justice to your talent till you practice it day in, day out and master the same. Hence, you have to “Identify your real talent and pursue it – Period”.

At last, I would like to mention that all of us need to step out of our comfort zone. We can’t just sit peacefully and waste our talent by feeling helpless. Life is not a rose bed and taking risk is a part and parcel of life. Each one of us came with a purpose in life and it’s only after we identify our real talent that we could actually progress towards achieving it. Above all, we have to identify and pursue our talent so that we can contribute our little bit for the benefit of our society, as well as, the entire world.

I hope this blog will help you to identify your real talents and you will definitely pursue it. I wish you all the very best and would definitely like to know about your real talents and your progress in pursuing it. Do remember that you have a bigger purpose in life and there is no other option available but to achieve it. Go for it guys…

God bless you all!

Are you hunting for some motivation?

By any chance are you hunting for some motivation in the outside world? Thinking to get inspired from success stories of other persons? Wandering in search of that very stimulus which will ignite your life? Waiting for someone/something to pull you up from your current downtrodden situation? Seeking for some positive spark in your life? Hoping that one fine day you will get shaken up by the inspirational boosters and eventually your goals will be achieved? If the answer to any of these questions is in affirmative, then, fortunately, you have landed at the right place. In this blog let us try to locate the source of ‘real and everlasting’ motivation.

At the outset, I would like to comfort you by sharing the fact that if you are a motivation seeker then nothing to worry about because you are not sailing all alone in the boat. Indeed we all are hopping in the hunt for motivation, sometimes or the other. And, in fact, we always look outside for that dose of motivation. But did you ever think that is this exercise fruitful or not? Do we really get inspired by the outside world? And most importantly does this outside motivation have an everlasting impact on us or not?

We read inspiring stories, hear motivational audio, view the life changing videos, all in all, we go through every kind of motivational material that is accessible to us. The sole aim behind all this is to get inspired and thereby change our life into yet another success story. However, don’t you think that all this ultimately turns out to be a momentary motivation only? The impact of which lasts only for a few minutes, hours or maybe for a few days, and in reality, it actually fails to motivate us in the long run.

Herewith, let me make it very clear that I am not against any kind of motivational stuff; in fact, they are a great source of learning. However, my whole point is that all these motivational posts, quotes, stories, audio-video, etcetera, are good enough to boost our morale in that very moment or maybe for some more time, but they are not sufficient enough to leave an everlasting impact on our life. Hence, it’s a high time for us to diagnose the impact of outside motivation on our life. And if we find out that we are not getting much of the needed help from these momentary motivations, then we need to question ourselves that what is the alternative available for us to get motivated in the real sense?

Well, the answer to this life changing question is that we need to “Look within for inspiration”. It’s our own life story and it’s comparable to no one else’s life. Everyone has different struggles and a different way of tackling and overcoming them. We need to write our own success story and for that, we have to look within our own self for finding inspiration. There is no argument in the fact that we can take learning’s from other’s life and even get motivated from them. But the hard-core reality is that all these momentary motivations will eventually wipe-off, as soon as, the memory of that motivational thing is overpowered with other important or not-so-important things going on in our life. Hence, it’s only the motivation that emerges from within us, which is going to have an everlasting impact in our life and it is indeed the real motivation.

You may be down, you might have lost all the hopes, you are no more interested in your life, but do remember, that you are the same person who once used to crawl and then “on your own” learned to walk, as well as, run miles and miles. When on your own you can learn how to walk, even at the age when you have no life experiences, then what else could stop you from walking or running in the journey of your life?

Now every time you get disheartened, do remember that you need to get back to your inner-self and remind yourself about all those past incidences of your life in which you stood firmly against all the odds and finally came out as a winner to achieve your goals. And yes, there is no one on earth who has not achieved anything in their life. The achievements could be as small as learning to ride a vehicle, passing an exam, winning or even participating in a game and the list goes on and on. So the excuse that “I don’t have any achievements in my life” is a sheer crap. Hence, there is no point in hiding behind this excuse. So yes, “If you are hunting for some motivation, then do look within for inspiration”. Only then you will get motivated in a ‘real and an everlasting’ sense.

I do hope that now onwards you will find inspiration from within your own self and there will be a lot many success stories to share and learn from. I wish you all a very happy, motivated and a prosperous life.

Be in touch.

God Bless!

Surgical Strike 29-09-2016 – The much awaited surgery

At the start of this blog, I would like to quote the following paragraph extracted from my other Blog “My Family and My Neighbour” – “Incidences like yesterday’s terrorist attack always shook our entire family and left us thinking that whether being a peace loving family is taken for granted? Whether they consider us as a weak nation? Was it possible to stop such a brutal incidence, if in the past we would have proved to others that taking our things back is our birthright? Could the situation worsen to this extent, if we would have made it loud and clear, that it’s not that we want to fight, but, at the same time, it’s not that we cannot fight? The most important question that needs to be answered by all of us is that how long will it take for us to change and how long will we wait for others to change”.

From the time India got Independence, the Indo-Pak border is a highly sensitive area. The majority of the terrorists enter from this side of the country, obviously to create disturbances in our Motherland India. The 4 hours, successful surgical strike, which started at 12.30 A.M., on dated 29th September 2016, was, in fact, a much-awaited surgery, needed for decades, in and around, the Indian border that is suffering from the chronic disease of terrorism. The Para Commandos of Indian armed forces outperformed on all the levels in this secret mission. This surgical strike is a tight slap on the faces of all those who are involved in, as well as, support terrorism to breed in, on their soil.

This surgical strike was conducted by crossing the Line Of Control (LOC) and striking in the area encroached by Pakistan, which is unfortunately known as “Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK)”. A similar kind of operation was also successfully conducted, in the recent past, in Myanmar, by the Indian armed forces. However, the impact of the 29th September 2016 surgical strike is much larger in essence, as it is not restricted to that specific area alone. Rather, it stretches beyond the area of operation, by giving a strong message to the entire world that “India should not be mistaken, to be taken, as a soft state, anymore”. This surgical strike is also a message to the Terrorist Nations, as well as, the Terrorist groups that things have crossed way above our tolerance level, better think twice before showing eyes to India, next time.

Without any second thought, this decision taken by the present Indian government needs to be highly appreciated and backed up with full support from each and every patriotic citizen of Motherland India. The present Indian government has been successful in trapping Pakistan on all fronts whether diplomatic, strategic or military. Pakistan’s leadership is trapped in their own net. Their position is similar to the person who is stuck in a situation where s/he can neither swallow, nor throw out, the crap which they themselves cooked.

Rather than viewing this surgical strike as merely a revenge of the Uri attack, it should be looked upon as a favour done by India, on one of its “Most Favoured Nation”, by surgically removing some of the parasites of terrorism that were breeding in that area, which Pakistan has shamelessly encroached, but unable to take due care of. Pakistan should actually feel indebted towards the Indian armed forces, as well as, India as a whole. My suggestion to the Pakistan armed forces is that they should first thank the Indian army on this generous act of cleaning up their soil and eradicating a few of the terrorists from the area which is actually in Pakistan’s control, as of now. Secondly, the Pakistan armed forces should request the Indian government, in writing, to help them eradicate each and every single terrorist, from the mines of terrorists located in their country.

It’s a known fact that the Pakistan’s armed forces have failed drastically in curbing the terrorism from their own land, on the contrary, they are the major contributors behind flourishing the crop of terrorism on their soil. And, at the same time, it’s not a hidden fact as well, that Pakistan’s political leadership is helpless in front of their armed forces and terrorist organisations. Hence, it’s not surprising that the Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif first accepted and later on denied the surgical strike conducted by Indian armed forces. So, as per my views, seeking help from the Indian Politicians and Indian armed forces, for eradicating terrorism from their land, by stretching the surgical strike to the whole of Pakistan, is the only ray of hope left for them if they actually care for their country. I would also like to suggest a name for this noble cause as “Swachh Pakistan Mission”.

We never had any doubts that the Indian armed forces are one of the best-armed forces in the entire world. Once again, they proved it, that they are super in all respect, irrespective of the facilities they have, in comparison to the facilities owned by the armed forces of the developed nations. This brave act of Indian armed forces, well supported by the political and NSA leadership is something on which every peace loving person should feel proud of, irrespective of the nation they belong too. Kudos to each and every single soldier of the Indian armed forces for the terrific operation they have conducted, more importantly without any single casualty happening on our side (that’s what surgical strike actually means). Hats off!

Heartfelt thanks to the Pradhan Sevak, Defence Minister, NSA leader, Armed Forces and each and every single person involved in this operation. A salute to all of you for the commendable job you have done.

Jai Hind!

Can the Kashmir issue ever be resolved by Third Party interference?

As a yearly ritual, the leaders of both India and Pakistan present their side of the story on the issue of Kashmir, in front of the United Nations. Each year, the leaders representing their country gets a lot of applauds, as well as, coverage in the media of their respective nation for putting forward their side of the case, strongly. Every single year, both the countries feel immense pride in exposing their weaknesses in front of the entire world. But did we ever analyse what is the end result of such a practice? Did it help in resolving the Indo-Pak differences by even a bit? Above all, the most important question that we need to ask ourselves is that, what did the common citizens of both the nations achieve from this annual custom of moaning?

I don’t know whether the political parties and leaders of both the nations, really want this issue to be resolved or not? After all, their political carriers are built on this issue and some of them specialize in the field of keeping this issue alive, as well as, seeding hatred in the hearts of innocent people, on both the sides. If at all the politics of both the countries have wished and cared to cure this problem, we would not have been stuck in this situation for almost 70 long years. Still, being an optimist, I do hope that there are political parties and leaders existing on both the sides, who really want this issue to be resolved peacefully, once for all.

But, every time a soldier or a civilian gets killed, the heart cries out and the desperate eyes search for a permanent solution to this chronic situation. Actually, the war is going on in instalments at India and Pakistan border, since inception, as every another day we hear the news of a soldier or a civilian being killed in an attack. So actually, if we end up fighting another war, it will be an extension of the scale of war. From boundaries, the war will extend to the entire nation.

However, before going into war, each one of us needs to introspect and give it a thought that what all we are going to lose and who is going to benefit from the war. It should not happen that we lose our closed ones, on both the sides and those who get benefitted from the war turns out to be an outsider. The same outsider who is enjoying the drama since long from behind the curtains and who is always more than eager to supply the necessary ingredients for keeping the flame of the war lightened up in both the countries. It is the right time we recognize the outsider, who is behind all this tension and realize their cruel intentions behind the same.

Now, for all those who believe that the Indo-Pak differences, which are as old as the geographical division of India, could be resolved by Third Party interference, I would just like to quote the following paragraph extracted from my other Blog “India – My Country, My Dream”, under the sub-heading One India – “I hope we realize that those who wanted to rule us, even after we acquired independence, created the differences in our hearts, in our geographies and we still keep on following their “Divide and Rule” policy. Can’t we take a lesson from the story being taught in the kindergarten; the moral of which states that “In the fight between the cats, it’s the monkey who takes the advantage”? Wars and divisions have never benefited anyone. Peace and unity are the energizing factors of Our Universe. We, humans, are born to stay together. We should work towards the boundary-less “One India” or else one day Nature will exhibit us that the Supreme Soul above, is and will always be, more powerful to swipe away any human-created boundaries”.

If the learned and intelligent souls think that going into war will help us achieve a permanent solution to Indo-Pak tension, then please do the needful, as soon as possible, because the common citizens are too tired of the “war in instalments” that is going on since India was divided. What we want is a permanent solution to this problem, so that, if not us, then at least our generations to come, can breathe freely and stay happily, without being worried about the intruding from the neighbouring countries. We can’t afford to lose our loved ones anymore merely on account of the unwillingness or cowardliness of a few of the persons governing us.

I believe that both India and Pakistan are matured nations. Although, I can’t say the same about the political parties and the leaders on both the sides, but the common masses are matured enough and can resolve the issues peacefully among themselves, but, if and only if, this matter is completely handed over to the common citizens and mind it no political interference is allowed from both the sides. I know, it theoretically sounds so soothing, but practically, it may be impossible, especially in the current scenario. Moreover, it is something too much to ask from the political parties of both the countries, which will never ever let this happen in reality. However, as per my views, this is the only peaceful solution left to resolve the Indo-Pak differences.

Since political parties on both the sides have drastically failed in resolving this issue, so it’s a high time for the masses to wake up, before it’s too late. I know it’s already too late, but still, as they say, “Better late than never”. So, sooner the better, the common citizens of both the nations unite to solve this problem. We can’t just leave it entirely on the politics. Honestly, we don’t have a choice left, if at all, we want to peacefully resolve this issue before we are dragged into another war like situation.

Now, it’s up to the common citizens of India and Pakistan to decide whether they want to carry on losing their brave soldiers and the closed ones in the “war in instalments” or they want a permanent solution to this problem. Do remember that “A sleeping citizen is a threat to the nation itself”. Awake, the nation needs us. Finally, I would like to end this blog with the strong belief and hope that we are able to find a peaceful solution to Indo-Pak differences. “Live peacefully and let others live too”.

I wish that may all of you have a peaceful life ahead.

God bless you all and may all of us get a good sense.

Divorce – A permanent dissolution of any relationship

As per the dictionary meaning, ‘Divorce’ means – the legal dissolution of a marriage (Reference: Word Web). Although, divorce is commonly associated with the dissolution of a marriage, while in literal terms, divorce means to part away, cease or break association with someone. So, if we consider divorce on a larger perspective then we can very well say that “Divorce stands for permanent dissolution of any relationship”. In simple terms, whenever any relation ceases to exist ‘permanently’ then it’s a divorce, irrespective of the name of the relation, or irrespective of any legal bounding associated with it or not. Note: Divorce in this blog refers to the cessation of any kind of relation and not marriage alone.

If we notice around us, then we will find that divorce takes place, every now and then, in almost all the relationships to name with, be it a parent-child, husband-wife, siblings, friends, relatives, neighbours, owner-pet, employee-organisation and the list goes, on and on. Even though we as a society, has attached the tag of divorce only with the marriage, but the hard-core reality is that divorce takes place in every kind of relationship.

Yes, none of the relation is unaffected by the virus of divorce. Why I address divorce as a virus is because there is a peculiar thing associated with it. As mentioned in the definition above Divorce is a Permanent Dissolution of any relationship. So, once the divorce is taken in any relation, there is hardly any chance left to get back into that particular relationship, once again in future. It’s equivalent to a situation where all the entry doors get closed and there is no looking back, post-exit.

I do agree that at times divorce is the necessity and the only remedy left when some of the relations reach to a severe point, where it is suffocating for both the parties involved to carry on any further. If a relation becomes a hindrance to our happiness or God forbid a threat to our life, then it is highly advisable and wise enough to walk out of that relationship. There is seriously no point in stretching such relations, just for the sake of carrying it on. However, we should remember it that divorce should always be the last option in our list and the decision to permanently walk out of any relationship should never be an impulsive one, rather it should be taken only with a peaceful mind, considering that no other way out is feasible anymore.

Most of us do take temporary breaks in our relationships when we kind of find it hard to match our wavelength with the other person involved in that relation. But, that is “only for the time being” till we are able to tune our frequencies back on the same radar, or else, we agree to disagree on our differences. But, as far as, divorce is concerned, it’s a permanent break and it may so happen that throughout their life span the divorced souls will never ever get a chance to see each other again, forget about communicating with each other. Sounds harsh, right? Well, yes, divorce (most of the times) is like that only, and, as a matter of fact, it’s indeed too painful to get out of any relationship.

Although not all divorces results in a “not being in touch henceforth” type of a relation, because we also witness cases around us, wherein people parts away with mutual consent and still remain in touch, with no hard feelings for each other in their hearts. I strongly advocate that, if at all, it is essential to take divorce from any relation then it should be in this manner only, which could be categorised as kind of “Happy Divorce”. But unfortunately, such cases are meagre in number.

Guys, it’s my earnest request that if there is even a slight hope left to bring the relationship back on the right track, then do keep your ego aside, and try once again, wholeheartedly, to save that beautiful relationship, before it gets into the plague of divorce. I wish that all of you have abundant happiness and strong bonds in each and every relationship of yours.

God bless you all.
